Caden's Baptism

 On Feb 8th Caden professed his faith in Jesus Christ!

 I can not tell you how blessed we are by our church! This was scheduled for March but with Mom's health being so fragile the church scheduled his baptism within just 24 hrs of us contacting them! God is good!

My Poor Blog

I'm back! So sorry Mom and Dad.  There have been a few reasons for my lack of blogging. One is that life is just busy!

School, homework, Church, Jared's surgery, more doctors appointments, youth, helping a friend with a memory book of memories of  husband and son who passed away is taking a lot of time as well, did I forget to mention school? Jared is on the computer most of the time during the day. I have the BEST intentions to post but it just hasn't happened. Facebook is too easy to post little snapshots of our lives. I can post from my phone.  ; ) My poor blog. ; ( I've got a lot of ketchin' up to do. But Dad, I promise I'll try to do better

The past few months have flown by.  I can't believe it's 2015!  

Since my last post we had a little girl turn 7! The first of August. Wow!

Oct. 21st Jared's surgery day. And my 10 year anniversary of still being alive and well after my brain aneurysm on Oct. 21, 2004. Jeff and I were going to celebrate but we were back at Regional again 10years later. Kinda odd. Jared had several friends, Aunt and Uncles and Grandparents stop by to talk or pray with us. Very thankful for them, Jared enjoyed the visits, it kept him distracted.

I had a wonderful birthday! Another year older, 39 whoohoo!

 This year the boys worked on decorating the house for Christmas. They asked us to stay inside until they were finished. They did a wonderful job! I even got teary eyed

Our Family tradition is going to look at lights on Christmas Eve. And again on Christmas day at Santa land. Well this year we skipped Santa land after we heard of mini Santa land in Longview. Oh my goodness it was wonderful!

Over the Christmas break Papaw called and asked if Grace would like to spend the night.  With mom being sick, Grace was 3 yrs old the last time she stayed with them. Grace was so excited!

I found this tonight. Oct. 2012 the last time Nana held Grace. So glad I got a pic of this! I remember Grace did not want her Nana to leave so she climbed up into the car and got in her lap:) 

 

In December, I had my first baby photo season. Precious little one.

 

School is about to start back for Jared so I may not see all you, (all my 2 followers) for a while. But I will be back. I must journal for our family or I will regret it.

A Funky Summer

Our summer has been one that I really don't want to repeat. We have had some good times but over all it's been overwhelming. Since October when my granddaddy passed away we have attended 6 funerals. Four being this summer alone. I was telling a friend of mine that I'm ready for school to start so that things will slow down and I can rest. Kind of odd to say because it's usually the opposite.

 

We have had some good times though and one being...

 ...celebrating Jeff's 40th!

He had a few of his friends come over and they had a guys poker night at the house. He really had a great time!

While Jared was gone we had a little fun too. This is Jeff and I will not tell you how long it took for him to take the plunge off the platform. Lol

 

 We had a blast and will take Jared with us next time!

And it's not really summer until you grab the old water hose and sprinkler. Lol 

 

Happy 18th Anniversary my love! (July 6th)

 

We got a call on July 9th at 8:25pm that my Grandmother had cancer and they gave her 48hrs. Shocked is all I can say.

I along with all of my family and Tj making a rushed trip back from Florida to spend the next several days with her. You were such a wonderful grandmother to us. We will miss you until we see you again.

 

We are loaded up and heading to VBS!

 

Kids enjoyed it this year but is was exhausting. Celebrating making it through the week with ice cream cake!

Thursday morning I got a call that my Great Uncle (Granny's brother) passed away. He lived in Monroe La. so we stopped and took a few pictures.

What in the world is that nose outside? Yay we get a new road! Finally!

 

 And as I type this these two are having a blast at my Aunt Peggy and Uncle Don's house. Grace called me tonight with such excitement! She went and got her first pedicure and a box of fake fingernails! lol I think Aunt Peggy is having fun having a girl in the house!

We are starting to get ready for the up coming school year and we are excited to embark on a new journey this year with the boys! Caden starts football August 4th!! Wow!! Go Bobcats!!!
