Brace Yourself

He got braces today and he is already tired of them! ;) Well not really, it just takes some getting used to. The spring is rubbing (where their is no tooth) but maybe soon he can have the surgery to expose the tooth in his palate and get it in place before long.

Daddy Daughter Dance

Saturday was our 2nd annual Daddy Daughter Dance and Grace has been so excited. She has talked about it everyday and we are just so blessed that Jeff  felt up to going this year. He is only one month post surgery!!!
She loved her flowers!
Her daddy is the perfect example of how a true godly man should treat a young lady. Grace and I are truly lucky to have him!
Love this one.

After the dance he took her to dinner. What a yummy surprise!

(Grace has been home sick this week so it's a good time to try and get caught up on my posts)

Texas Snow Storm

Grace was at a sleepover so the house was full of boys on Friday night. The boys with Bella jumping in all that snow. Ha! Along with our snowman, and a pic of me and my love..
My dorky husband....;)

They say we might get more snow/ice today. We will see...

Oh where oh where did my little blog go?

I cannot believe it has been over a month since I've been on here. Just to let everyone know (to all my many readers Ha!) we did survive the flu! Life has been crazy and I've had no time or just didn't feel up to blogging. Since my last post I have joined a prayer group that I am really enjoying. Just what I need at this point in my life! And Jeff has joined a Men's bible study, he has gone twice now and says he really enjoys it! They meet at 5:30am. Wow that's early, but it's perfect for the guys! We have also had two colds, two surgeries, one stomach virus and pink eye. But God is good and we are healthy at the moment!  I've missed blogging and will regret it if I don't update since this is my way of scrapbooking. So, without further ado... my update. Consider yourself warned...lots of photos. ;)

Our Christmas service at church a few days before Christmas. So beautiful! Jeff and I let Grace hold a candle and she did so well!
Grace singing at the church Christmas program.
Come to find out the entire Cornett family had the flu during the holidays. I'm sad to report this is my only photo I took that day. We were not feeling well at all. Jeff's mom ended up in the hospital a few days later with Pneumonia. Crazy Flu season.
Christmas day
We were getting ready to leave the house on New Years Eve and I walked into my bathroom and Jared is fixing Graces hair. Sweet brother!
Had fun with these crazy ladies on news years eve. The husbands were in the other room. I'm not sure why!? Lol
We drove to Oklahoma City for Jeff's back surgery and boy it was cold. I took this the day before his surgery. Half frozen fountain. Brrrr!
Just one of Jeff's walking partners. Lots of walks taken on this country road.

Well... after two years I'm happy to say...
the staining project we started is finally done! I needed Jeff's help with the trim and he has felt so bad he has been unable to do it. Two weeks after surgery, the project is done! I love how it turned out! And so thankful my husband is feeling so much better!!

Lunch with the neighbors. Love those girls!
A few days after Jeff's surgery I caught Jared fixing Grace's bike. The boys really did an awesome job stepping up and taking care of a few things around the house while Jeff couldn't. They are going to make wonderful husbands and fathers some day! Many, many, years from now. ;)

Jared and his grandparents after his All Region concert.
Lunch with this girl before her daddy went back to work after being off for over three weeks.
Last weekend we visited my Granddaddy's resting place. Life goes by so fast. Love and miss you Grandaddy!

Well that's not all the latest news but this will have to do for now. I promise to update soon.  Mom did well with her surgery and is doing ok with her feeding tube but she will have to have surgery again on Feb.14th. Please keep her in your prayers. Jared had his One Act UIL last weekend and they did an awesome job. They placed 2nd and I will post pictures soon. He has Solo & Ensemble on Saturday... I'm ready for him to have a weekend off! Aaggghh. Until next time you're up to date.
