Jeff and I are currently sharing it ;) he's driving it tomorrow and the kids and I will drive it on Tuesday! I have always been a truck kinda girl :)

April 16th

The last few days have been a whirlwind. Full of emotions and left feeling numb. On Monday my Mom was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease. For some reason God chose our family to go through this. It hurts. It stinks. I don't understand. But I love my Jesus. Thank you all very much for your prayers. We desperately need them. Our family is going to need His strength.

Bloody Baseball

Everyday this week this boy has asked me to play catch with him and I love it!  Memories that will last a lifetime.

This won't be forgotten either, unfortunately. Last night we didn't have time to play, but Jeff threw the ball to him one time and it popped out of his glove and hit him in the nose. Blood gushed everywhere. All in his glove and down his shirt and shorts. And, tears were not far behind. (No worries, this is a red wash cloth for staining, not blood) We are so thankful it didn't break his nose! It didn't even give him a black eye.

We were surprised he decided not to play this year but grateful for the break. Baseball takes up a lot of time:)

Easter 2012

This is going to sound awful and I really hate to admit it but this is the first year the boys have colored Easter eggs. Yes. I know. Jared is 12 1/2 and Caden is 9 1/2. I admit it, I am an awful, awful Mother.
Love Caden's face! Priceless.
Again, priceless. Jared looks like what's the big deal..and Grace looks amazed.
There ya go, I finally got one of Jared smiling. He did enjoy this and I have proof in this pic!:) Ha!

On Saturday we spent the day with my family out at my Uncle's land. We couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather. We had a picnic lunch and had a 500 acre egg hunt!  I love my family and love that the hunt always revolves around Christ. This year we had to study Numbers in the bible for clues to the eggs. It was a blast!
Her basket is just about to over flow....

Jared helped hide the eggs for the "little hunt" and here he is helping Grace reach one of the eggs. So sweet.
On the hunt for the prize eggs!  Yeah, that's right, you need transportation for this hunt.
With us only finding one in the years past and Jared being the only one to find one last year and with us needing to leave before dark this this year, we really weren't expecting to find any. (My Aunt's make this hunt very difficult.) But, surprisingly, we found two!

We had to cut out early because Jeff had a business dinner on Saturday evening we had to get to. It was a little odd going from digging in dirt for Easter eggs to formal wear in the same day. Lol! We had a great time and it was fun finally getting to meet the people he works with.
Us during the dinner...
...then us after the dinner at DQ getting ice cream! Lol!
This morning just before leaving for church.

After church and after an exhaustion "break down" from our daughter, we had a fun afternoon with Jeff's parents. Jared drove Grace around for the first time on the four wheeler and ...

Caden got to drive the four wheeler for the first time all by himself! Man these kids are growing up too fast!

Feeling Bad to Feeling Fab

This looked all to familiar. Same scenario as 12 months ago. The day before this we had two extra kids at our house and she was playing and having such a great time. She woke up the next morning and got in bed with me about 5:00 am so I knew she wasn't feeling well. She ended up sleeping most of the day with a fever of 101. I am so thankful I am more aware of what she maybe going through and that she is a year older and was able to tell me how she was feeling. We didn't want a repeat of last March so there was "no waiting it out" for us this year.

Waiting to be seen at Taylor Medical. Mommy was right. She had another urinary tract infection. But she went from this

to this in 24 hours!
Her very first set of curlers!! She went in for a trim and ended up with the works! She saw a little old lady with curlers in her hair and sitting under the hair dryer and said "can I have curlers too?" Her hair stylest couldn't tell her no.
My goodness he spoilt her.
And with no extra charge I was okay with it too. ;)

It's Friday! Sundays comin!!!

Easter: Part 1

Yesterday just before the storm moved in we had a fun morning decorating Easter eggs...

and hanging out with friends.

Ladies turn!
Charity, Jenny, Alison, Ellen, and Rebecca
This one is my favorite. The kids were watching Mrs. Rebecca demonstrate the egg race, and just look at those faces!  Most of them look like..."You want me to do that?" Grace's expression... "CAREFUL, don't drop it!" I love it!
Grace and Audrey. Go girls, go!

Thanks Mrs. Raegan for the yummy cookie!
