Easter Sunday

Was a cold and wet one but we were very lucky that the rain held off until after we were already at church! Whew... it came a down pour.
Our yearly Easter photo before church.

It's crazy, I know. But this pic makes me smile. I was giving Grace a flower she wanted to hold from our azalea bush and I love the look on the boys faces. I really love Caden's genuine smile!!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend filled with family & friends! I will post more on that soon ;)

Beavers Bend

This was the entrance to our cabin...
Each cabin in the area was named after a place and our cabin took us to OZ.  It was kinda different but neat at the same time. We found red slippers and golden bricks throughout the cabin. It made several of us wonder how they came up with and decided on the name OZ.

The second day there most of us caught a train ride around the park
Jared, Josh, Rebecca, Grace, Rachel, Uncle Tim and Caleb. There were a lot more of us there but this is all that I could fit into the pic.

Day 3 on the agenda. Kayaking!
Jared and Christopher
My little redhead doing what he loves. Ridin the water!
Jared and Caleb were up to no good. Getting into trouble with the girls. Lol
The girls about to head out.
Here we are kayaking with the kids on the water! Fun!

Here we are again on one of our walks. The water was so clear and clean.
The kids loved the hot tub...Yes, Grace also joined the boys for a bit until her brothers kicked her out. Ha!
We found this little race track and Grace got her first ride around a track. As you can see, she loved it!
Caden, Josh and Jared
Papaw is in the lead, Scott's in Second and Hubby in third....
But wait, I think some one just got passed. Lol... just look at that face. Jeff was just a little excited!

Love this one of Josh, Caden and Grace. You know she was tired and not feeling well for her to lay down. Josh was so sweet to sit and hold her for a while.
Caleb and Jared giving Chris a hand in learning to ride the rip stick.

I have no idea what our daughter is doing. She is the life of the party. Miss priss.
Nanie and Papaw with all their grand children!

We had a great time and so thankful the weather was beautiful the intire time we were there!

Another spring break that went way too quickly!

Spring Break

Was a busy one this year. We were running all week.
We started Spring Break off early on Thursday evening by meeting these lovely girls at Artsview for a wonderful show!
Grace loved it and wishes she was one of the little ducklings.
Monday was spent sleeping in and cleaning house preparing ourselves for the week ahead. Tuesday we had a fun visit with Nana & Papaw and they fed us a wonderful lunch! Thank you, Mom & Dad!! Then we were off to meet friends at the movies. Wednesday was filled with Youth actives for Jared along with Grace not feeling well. We ended up at the Dr. at 10pm for a sinus infection. :( We can't seem to get well or have no injuries with this bunch. Thursday we met Jeff's Family in Beavers Bend, Oklahoma and the first day there Jared falls down a cliff scraping his arm and cutting the palm of his hand, thankfully, it did not require stitches. (But today at school he manged to re-open it again in Athletics. Ugh) Caden woke Jeff and I at 4:00am Saturday morning throwing up. So we were up taking care of him and washing blankets and pj's till 5am. Goodness. But we were sooo thankful he did not have a stomach bug and was fine within a few hours and we did not have to leave early!
This was our wonderful three story cabin where we stayed...
...and this was mine and Jeff's bedroom suite. So nice! I have so many favorite parts of our 4 days in Oklahoma that I want to share and will share soon but I better get some sleep! The kids all went to bed early again tonight. And I think I'll be right behind them. ; ) We are still completely worn out. Grace said last night as we laid her down "Oh, I have missed my bed! I love my wonderful room so much!" Lol!

I've gone crazy...

Yes, I've been cutting the boys hair for over 13 years, and yes, most of the time it all goes well but something came over me this past Friday night and I decided to give Grace a trim. Cutting her hair is completely different, I can't just pull out the clippers and go to town;)

I will say, it went very well. No tears were shed by her or myself. And no one has said, Oh my goodness, who cut your daughter's hair??  No one has noticed and that's a very good thing!!
A trim is all I'm going to under take with her....If we decided to go short again I will be taking her back to the salon! ;)
