Home

I'm so thankful we are home. We have been sick all week. I took the boys to the clinic on Monday and were tested for the flu and strep and both tests came back negative. Yesterday we had enough. Grace and I started running fever so we headed to the ER. Jeff Grace and I caught it early enough and can take Tamiflu.  Jared and Caden on the other hand were very sick. Jared's his heart rate was 125... should be in the 80's.  He almost passed out at check in. He got an IV and  a chest X ray. Caden was throwing up at check in. They took us straight back.  I wanted to cry entering the hospital with all of us but I help myself together. :)
Thank you everyone for praying for us!

Happy 50th Anniversary!

We celebrated Jeff's parents 50th Anniversary on Saturday and we really had a wonderful time!
 December 15, 1963

I love looking at old photos and these are just some of the sweet photos that were in the family slide show on Saturday. The one on the left is right after the wedding. The top middle, if you look just to the left of them, the hutch on the left, it is currently in my dining room! The bottom right is one of them at Lake Cherokee where Jeff and I lived for 3 years. So special!
My Mom and Dad were able to be there to help celebrate and I was able to sneak a quick pic of our parents! Hope the photographer that was there was ok with that because I love this photo!
Mom wanted me to fix her hair and makeup for the party, and I really enjoyed it, the roles have reversed. I hope she was pleased.

Family

The St.Romain Christmas was this past Sunday we had a wonderful visit!
T.J. & Tennille even drove in the horrible weather conditions for us. :) He sent this picture to me when I asked him if we would see him today. His reply was
"Maybe. Driving now. ;)"
4-6 inches of ice. :/ If you look close enough you will notice they are the only ones on the road.

Nana Papaw & the grand kids
Siblings cutting up....is all I'm allowed to say! Hahaha!
We finally straightened up and took the shot. Lol!
Jared and his Nana
Chilling. Watching the football players play in the snow. What a crazy game that was!

And on Wednesday I celebrated another year! The big 38! Lol! It was a fun day, delicious lunch with my hunny, blessed with wonderful cards, text messages, phone calls and gifts from family & friends!

Holiday Season

Thanksgiving morning we headed out to Mom & Dads for Thanksgiving lunch and we decided to take family pics in front of the pond. We had a good visit, and pics....
well, they went ok. Lol!
Lord please help us! ;)

If it were up to the boys they would have had the lights up on the house in October.
We made them wait. They wanted to surprise their dad so while he was hunting the weekend before Thanksgiving they had them up. They did an excellent job!!
Thanksgiving weekend we took family photos with the Cornett Family. Celebrating 50 years of marriage! With a family of 17 it went very well! Ha!
We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

A Good Busy

Last week was one of those weeks that was non-stop. Their was something planned everyday, and not just after school. I was running the roads all day long. But I wouldn't have it any other way! It's days or weeks like that, that I'm so thankful to be a "stay at home mom" even though I'm hardly ever at home.

We finally got Jared in to see an orthodontist last week after waiting a year on a tooth to appear. We found out last week it's impacted in the roof of his mouth and will need surgery to expose the tooth and then  braces to bring it down. We know this will be a big concern so we are planning on doing this spring break of 2015. He will have to be in braces a year before they will do the surgery. We are hoping it will not effect his trumpet playing. He really enjoys it and is first chair and first trumpet but it will work out for the best.

Jared also tried out for one act theater last week and made it! As of now he is playing the roll of 'Jeff'' a man who was injured at war that has a huge scar on his face. That's all I know for now. We will see...Lol! We are not sure what kind of schedule will come of this but we are proud of him and I know he will enjoy it!

We also sold Jeff's old Dodge. We are weird, because we are a bit sad about it. It was such a good truck. We even thought about keeping it for Jared and Caden to drive but decided it would be best to sell. It went to a good family in Crocket They are a family of Dodge owners and he bought it for his 17 yr old son.
Our busy week did not end on Friday. It continued on into the weekend. We couldn't have planned another thing. Here we are dressed up and ready for our Sunday schools Duck Dynasty party on Saturday
We were all dressed in camo or Dynasty clothes so why not a pic before we go! Lol We had a great time and Jared and Caden had a blast later at the 456 and youth party! We really love out church family!

Color Up 5K

Well I did it!!!! My first 5K!!!  And what a fun one to start with! As you walk/run you come upon paint areas and they toss paint on the runners.
This was my team, "Dye Trying!" Christi, me, Kim and Allison
We had so much fun! I walked the entire way, but I did finish it in 47 minutes! And I was no where near the end!
Smiling at my family. It was fun to see them cheering me on from the sidelines!
Jared and Ms. Kim having too much fun throwing a paint packet on me after the race!

Jared said next year he wants to run it with me!! Yay! I can also see Caden joining us ;)

Month of October

Was a busy one. It was full of appointments and fun activities.
It was also the month I said goodbye to my Grandaddy. He was 91. My brother and sister and I gave this bouquet in his honor.
This was 4 days before he passed away.
He has always given Jeff a handshake before leaving and this day was no different. Made me cry.
 1995- Love you Granddaddy!!

Our Princess Pirate for the fall fest this year. The boys did not dress up:( They both worked the booths this year.

This is where we spent our Thursdays nights....
Jared is on the 50 just in front of the drum major.
First  chair and first trumpet! You go boy!
Me and a few friends watching our kids at last nights game. The band really did a great job, we were laughing and cutting up at the drum major. She blew the whistle and moved the band forward for the first time this year and it was the last game! I am an awful mom for laughing.

Happy November!

Past Two Weeks

The past two weeks have been busy
Saturday was Western Days and Grace made the Sunday paper second year in a row. Wow!

The band did such a great job despite getting rained on.
Jared got Band Marcher Of The Week last week and I picked him up from band practice today and he is first chair as of today! So proud of him!

(Don't look at the mess behind me. We were having fun and got every brush and iron out that night! Lol!!)

Dress up night was pretty interesting. Lol!
Caden has been saving his money and bought himself a new bike!!

Lots of Doctor appointments. Jeff had shot injections and Jared had lab work and I had my follow up appointment from my Houston visit this summer.
And Grace had her first filling.
So what do you do after a dentist appointment? Ice cream!!! ;)

Thankfully all went well on Jared's labs and I will be seeing the Dr once a year for my muscle issues, but sad to report Jeff has an appointment in Tyler to see a back specialist next week. We are thankful the injection worked for the one week but was praying for much longer. Praying about him having back surgery before the end of the year.

14

Just like with the other two I took Jared down town to take photos of him.:)
All I really want to say is, CAN WE STOP TIME, PLEASE!!
It does not feel as if he should be 14! But he is.

And we are blessed and honored that God chose him to be our son.

Mr. Cool dude. Ha! The sun was in his eyes and I told him he didn't have to smile in this one. Well he ended up looking mad...Lol
ahhhhh it's my birthday. I get to be lazy... (He wishes;) )
His choice, donuts on the way to school, Chicken in dumplings for dinner
and chocolate cake!

Happy Birthday, Jared! We love you!
