Mothers Day Weekend

How much can we fit into one weekend is all I can say. It was a busy but fun weekend for sure. Jared had a free day on Friday and he spent the day with friends in Dallas at a Homeschool book fair. He had fun and came home with several good books he has already completed;)
This is Grace and Caroline on Friday night. She attended her first Big Girl/Little Girl lock in at our church and she had a blast!
She came home on Saturday with mascara on and nails & toes polished!
Thank you Jr High youth for making our little girls feel so special!
Friday night Caden was at Rockin C Ranch with the 4th 5th and 6th graders from our church. Such a fun group of kids!

So with all three kiddos gone...
this is where Jeff and I spent our Friday evening. My Mothers Day gift from my hubby...a much needed time away from daily errands and chores.

Saturday we had a good visit spending time with Jeff's parents.
And on Sunday
we took these photos out at Mom & Dads house.
Thank you Lord for blessing me with these three and I pray I don't mess them up to much.

Her First Field Day

She had her first field day on Friday and I can not tell you how much she loved it! !
"Pizza Toss" she did very well. Placed 4th
 100 meter dash....
She did so good! These three girls tied for 3rd!!!
Sweet friends
Every year for the past three years she has wanted to run in the race with her brothers. She was so excited not to be sitting on the sidelines this year!!

Lately

I have forgotten to take pictures, yes, for me that is crazy. We really have not been up to a lot lately, just school, weekly lunch dates, therapy for a friend, scouts and youth group. I have also been helping my neighbor clean and reorganize her house because they are trying to adopt their grandchildren. But I wanted to post a few that I took a few weeks ago at the 4, 5 and 6th graders party from our church. We had such a good time.
The kids playing kickball
Grace loved feeding the horses!
The teenagers hanging out in the playhouse:)
Last week Jared had his spring band concert and WOW they sounded wonderful!!! Jared and Caleb are in the middle toward the top;)
Caden has been taken such good care of Abie's grave. He found the logs and outlined it and he was so excited he wanted me to take a picture.
So sweet.
This little girl has been such a little blessing to our family! As you can see she has put a smile on the kids faces!
Caden was racing her the other day and said " Mom she can still beat me with three legs!!"
We took her to the vet the other day to get her checked out and we found out she has heart worms so the kids are worried about her but we along with the vet insured them that she will be ok.

Loving Pets

We are so very thankful for 13 years with our precious Abie puppy! We said goodbye to our sweet dog yesterday morning. We miss her so much already.
Abie, you have been such an amazing dog to our children and Jeff and I can't thank you enough.
Yesterday was one of the hardest days for our kids and seeing them so sad broke our hearts. Jeff and I are so thankful she passed during the early morning, and that we were able to tell her goodbye with the kids about an hour after she passed away. Your timing is always prefect Lord!! And we thank you for that!!

We found this little one at the shelter yesterday. Bella is one year, as of April 11th and is the sweetest dog. She is house trained so the kids are thrilled to have an inside dog :) Also, we have had her 24hrs and she has yet to bark. Wow.
She was hit by a car and had to have one leg removed but that has not slowed her down at all. She is our new 3 legged friend!

I found this sweet prayer from the shelters facebook page. "Dolores A." posted on Tuesday and it touched my heart so much.
"Prayer by Saint Francis of Assisi, for Sick Animals: Dear Lord bless this dog Bella with your grace & mercy send her Angels to protect her-rescue her and bless her with a safe loving home. I ask you Lord Jesus Christ, I thank you Lord for your answer to my prayers."
