Spring Camping

We always enjoy Spring Break, and this year we headed to Tyler State Park. We had a great time, and we couldn't have asked for more perfect weather! The kids and I got there about an hour before Jeff, just so we could get started setting up camp. I'll be honest, keeping an eye on three kiddos while unhooking and setting up the camper, I was a little nervous, and curious just how much we would get accomplished. ;) But, all three of them were very helpful, no one ran off or wanted to go play as soon as we got out of the car, they did a great job helping me!!!
We even had a few minutes to play a couple of rounds of Jenga while cooling off in the A/C before Daddy got to camp!

They're still smiling after choosing an hours worth of Paddle boating. We stopped on shore so that we could switch out without causing anyone to go over board, to give the boys about a 20min break. They said, "Next time we're canoeing. That was a lot of work!!"

Yes. The Park Ranger is walking toward them with a live snake in hand. The Park had several fun activities or classes for the kids. They learned how to identify venomous snakes in the wild. Well...in our case, in our own back yard. Ha!!

They also got to pet and feed him! Yes, that is Grace in Jared's lap petting the snake...there was no fear in that little girl. Well... As long as she was in her big brothers lap. So sweet!

No help from Mom or Dad, this was his own hook, line and sinker!.. a Catfish!! That's all I will say. I'll let you read his blog,
"Adventures With Jared" for more! ;)

I love this one of Caden reading in the hammock on Friday night by the Moon light and flash light.

Jeff and Grace fishing this morning.

While walking on the hiking trail these two little guys
walked right up to us.

Grace was saying, "Hi there little duckies"

"Oh... Mommy can I feed them?!" We don't have any bread with us. "I can give them some chicken" (our fish bate). No, were not soposed to feed them. "But they're hungry Mommy." They will be okay. "Sorry little duckies, I don't have any food for ya."

Me and my hunny on one of our hikes.

I loved having all three kids at home last week!

Spring Break goes by way to fast.

"You are the light of the world - like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden." Matthew 5:14
