Hair Cuts

Well look what we found in the kids bathroom late Sunday night.
This may explain the foot rub she gave me earlier in the evening. I think someone was feeling guilty. But really, this my friends is nothing...lol!  When she was 2 1/2 she cut herself some 1" bangs! I was very proud of myself, I didn't even get upset. ;)  All Jeff and I could do was laugh. You should have seen the look on her face the next morning when I showed this to her. She even started crying. I looked her hair over and she cut her bangs again, but luckly, it is still past her nose so no worries, this time. ;)

Speaking of hair cuts. (Oh my goodness Jared looks like his daddy in this picture. This is Jeff the day he got his hair cut and surprised me with an engagememt ring later that afternoon).
Anyways, I took my oldest boy in on Monday for his 2nd official hair cut. He was 11 months old the last time we had someone besides me cut his hair. He is fine with me still cutting it but honestly I am getting tired of doing it, it grows sooo fast and it's very very thick! This is his first "shampoo" though. HA! He looked so uncomfortable and the hair dresser kept telling him to relax and to lean his head back. Poor kid, he is 13 and had no idea what a shampoo bowl was. I have neglected him.

Yep. He went short. It looks good though. And, I did ask him who does a better job cutting his hair and he thought long and hard and said "The other lady just because I didn't get hair on me as much as I do when you cut it." Ha! I will take that one as a compliment from my 13 1/2 year old! I am so glad I do not have a picky teenager!! That will come in a few years I'm afraid with Caden and Grace!;)

Party's

Arms up!
Last weekend before the Cornett house hold got so sickly the boys had a great time at the Sutton's for Jamisons birthday!
Silly 10 year old boys!!

Yesterday The Akin's returned from China and Caden and I had the opportunity to meet Peter! We weren't exactly sure when they would get back into Longview so I told Caden I may or may not pick him up early from school, so when I showed up at 1:30 he was excited! We did a computer search on how to say "Welcome Home" in Chinese and since Jared was home sick from school, and, he wanted to do something to be apart of Peter's welcoming he made this sign for him. I left Ms Grace at school because this was just a quick meet and greet and she would have wanted to stay and play;) She was pretty bummed when she found out that we got to meet him, I don't know maybe she would have understood and would have done fine, she is not as young as she used to be. But, with that chicka' it's hard to say. Ha!
All of us before they returned!
Caden meeting Peter and giving him his welcome home sign:)
Welcome home boy!

Wow. Can't believe this is my 400th post and have had soo much to say:)

Honored

Happy 12th Heavenly Birthday Hannah!
With the Akin Family in China picking up their new son they asked us if we would mind taking flowers to Hannah today! I asked the kids if they wanted to come along and without hesitation they said, "YES do not go while we are at school!"
We were honored to take care of Miss. Hannah today!!

But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven...

Little Jewelry Box

This was my little jewelry box when I was a little girl.
About 10 years ago Jeff talked me into keeping it and I am so glad he did! Yesterday as I was cleaning it to put in Grace's room I found a pair of earrings from when I was her age. So neat!

I couldn't wait to show it to her after school!
With this child having no idea about it I still almost missed her finding it on her dresser. She was in the house seconds before me and found it as soon as she walked in her room! I think her favorite thing about it is the music box. She asked me last night if I would wind it up and let it play as she feel asleep :)

Ear Piercing

Guess who got her ears pierced today! We have been talking about it for a while now and Grace decided that she wanted her ears pierced!

She did so good! She cried about 15 seconds and said "can I show my friends at school tomorrow?" Love her to pieces!
